Accounting Software Help · Austin, TX · Serving business owners nationwide

QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or Xero giving you numbers you don’t trust? We get it working the way it should.

Most accounting software does its job well when it’s set up for the way your company runs. When reports don’t match the bank, or month-end drags on for weeks, the cause is usually the setup and the connections around it. We find where it went wrong, correct it, and keep it accurate.

What we do, whichever platform you’re on

  • A review of your setup. We review your chart of accounts, settings, and integrations to identify where errors are occurring.
  • Cleanup of what’s already wrong. We correct past entries and reconcile accounts so your starting point is accurate.
  • Connections that work. We make sure each tool sends data to your accounting system once, in the right place.
  • Ongoing oversight. We keep an eye on your books throughout the year, so small problems are caught early.

QuickBooks: far more capable than most companies realize

  1. The common frustration. Reports don’t match the bank; the same transaction shows up twice; and someone has told you the company has outgrown QuickBooks.

  2. What’s usually behind it. QuickBooks works well for most small and mid-sized companies, and it can carry a company well past $100 million in revenue when it’s set up properly. The trouble tends to come from a chart of accounts that grew without a plan, bank feeds and rules that categorize transactions incorrectly, and add-on apps that were connected in a hurry.

  3. How we help. We’ve worked in QuickBooks since 2005, in both the Online and Desktop versions. We clean up the file, rebuild the components causing errors, and set it up to handle your growth, which is often far less costly than moving to a larger system.

NetSuite: powerful when the groundwork is done first

  1. The common frustration. The implementation ran over budget and past its deadline, and the reports still aren’t giving you answers you can rely on.

  2. What’s usually behind it. NetSuite can do a great deal, and it works best for companies whose processes are already well defined. Many implementations move existing workflow problems into the new system without resolving them, so the company pays more and gets the same unreliable results.

  3. How we help. We look at your workflows first and the configuration second, then correct the areas where the two don’t line up. If you’re still deciding whether NetSuite is right for your company, we’ll give you an honest opinion before you commit.

Sage: a strong next step for companies that need more room

  1. The common frustration. You moved to Sage for more users and more detailed reporting, and the team still exports everything to spreadsheets to get answers.

  2. What’s usually behind it. Sage is a good choice for companies that have outgrown QuickBooks or need many people working in the system at once. Problems usually trace back to how dimensions, user permissions, and reports were set up at the start, or to data that came over from the old system without being cleaned. A larger system also needs clean workflows underneath, or the same problems simply move to a more expensive platform.

  3. How we help. We work in Sage Intacct, Sage 50, and Sage 100. We review the structure, correct the migrated data, and build the reports you bought the system to get.

Xero: simple to start, easy to let drift

  1. The common frustration. The bank feed stays active, yet the balances in Xero and at the bank no longer agree.

  2. What’s usually behind it. Xero makes day-to-day bookkeeping quick, and that speed can hide problems. Transactions get approved without review, connected apps create duplicate entries, and tracking categories are applied unevenly, so reports by department or location stop being useful.

  3. How we help. We reconcile the accounts, remove the duplicates, and reset the rules and categories, so the reports can be trusted again.

The tools that feed your accounting system

Spend, bill pay, and payroll tools save real time, and each one sends data into your books. All of them work as intended when they’re set up correctly. Set up loosely, they save your team time today and create hours of cleanup at year-end.

  • Ramp, where card spending and receipts need to map to the right accounts.
  • Bill.com, where vendor bills and payments need to sync without being recorded twice.
  • Expensify, where employee expenses need consistent categories and approvals.
  • Your payroll platform, including ADP, Paychex, Gusto, Rippling, and Intuit, where wages and taxes need to post to the books correctly and someone needs to own the notices.

We review how each one is connected, who on your team owns it, and whether it still suits your size, then correct the mapping so your accounting system receives clean, complete data.

Thinking about changing systems? Ask us before you sign.

A new platform is sometimes the right answer. More often than not, the one you already pay for can do the job once it’s properly configured. Because we don’t sell software or earn commissions from it, our advice is based solely on your company's needs. If a move does make sense, we help you clean the data before it migrates, so the old problems stay behind.

Your tax return can only be as accurate as the software behind it.

Every number on a return comes out of your accounting system. When the books are off, deductions are missed, income is reported in the wrong place, and the IRS may notice a mismatch before you do. Getting the software right is what makes filing routine and planning possible.

Questions owners ask about their accounting software

Possibly, though it happens less often than owners are told. Many problems blamed on QuickBooks come from how it was set up. We’ll review your file and tell you honestly.
